Live Bar, August 17 News Newcastle officially announced that on the international match day in September, the Saudi national team will hold two friendly matches in St James Park, the team’s home court, against Costa Rica and South Korea respectively.

In October 2021, after 18 months of hard work, Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) acquired 80% of Newcastle’s shares and held friendly matches to strengthen the ties between Newcastle and Saudi Arabia. After being acquired by PIF, Newcastle held a training camp in Riyadh and signed an important sponsorship agreement with Sela, an activity, hotel and real estate company. Sela became the advertising sponsor of “magpie” jersey chest, NOON became the advertising sponsor of this old club’s shirt sleeve. Sela is controlled by PIF, while PIF owns 50% of noonon, an online shopping platform.
